Thanks for all the emails
from former Betty Crocker Scholarship winners in the
1950s, 1960s and early 1970s. Keep them coming - I love
to hear your stories. I've also heard from quite a few
of you who would like me to answer a few questions for
their book club discussion. Keep those question coming
too. I'm more than happy to answer! |

Good news! Finding Betty
Crocker will be in paperback next spring. The University
of Minnesota Press will be publishing it 2007. My alma
matter! Currently, Simon & Schuster is my publisher
for the hardcover version.

Happy
May Day! |

The Satellite Sister’s
were a blast. What a great show! And it was fun
to get all the emails
from listeners who heard about Finding Betty
Crocker for the first time.
A question that keeps popping up: Where can I find
the book? The easiest way is to order through Amazon.com or Barnes
and Noble.com. And certainly my book is
available at all major bookstores, but I think the
problem people are having is finding my book once
they are in the store. And this could be because
my book isn’t in stock. So please ask a bookseller
and they will be happy to order it for you. They
don’t restock unless there is a demand and
if no one says anything, then they don’t know
about the demand!
If you are in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area I
recommend three bookstores that carry the book:
Micawber’s Books 651-646-5506
Birchbark
Books (612) 374-4023
Amazon Bookstore
Cooperative 612-821-9630
Don’t forget Mother’s Day is coming soon.
Finding Betty Crocker makes a great gift! Although
wouldn’t it be weird if someone gave me a
copy? |
